Chalk Hill Sonoma Pinot Noir 2022 75cl

Since its founding, Chalk Hill has been producing artisan wines from their estate vineyards in the hills of north eastern Sonoma County. For nearly fifty years, they have studied, prodded and coaxed their complex terroir to ensure that their estate wines deliver vivid aromatics, commanding flavours, great character and regional accuracy. While the 300 acres of vineyards surrounding the winery will always be the cornerstone of their identity, starting with the 2011 vintage, they began producing their first Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The 2019 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir features fruit from some of the best sites in the Sonoma Coast.

Medium bodied with bright acidity and flavours of cherry, raspberry, and plum with subtle notes of dried herbs. It finishes with velvety soft tannins and lingering notes of vanilla.

Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards and Winery is located in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. The winery has a long history dating back to the 1800s when it was originally a dairy farm. Today, the estate spans over 1,300 acres, with 300 acres of vineyards planted to a variety of grapes.

The Pinot Noir grapes for this wine are sourced from several estate vineyards located throughout the Russian River Valley. The vineyards are planted on a variety of soil types and elevations, which contribute to the wine’s complexity and depth of flavour.
