Greene King IPA Gold Ale 8x 500ml

£17.79

Greene King IPA Gold Ale. A refreshing ale with a clean, bitter finish. Owes its spicy notes and tropical fruit aroma to late-stage hopping. The perfect accompaniment to pasta and seafood.

Greene King can trace its origins back to 1779 when Benjamin Greene set up a family brewing business in the Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds. In 1887 his grandson Edward Greene joined forces with another local brewer, Frederick King, and the business rapidly evolved into one of the largest breweries in England, with over 148 pubs under its control by 1900.

Greene King IPA is the brewery’s flagship ale. Its refreshing taste is achieved through a careful balance of four simple ingredients – malted barley, yeast, water, hops – brewed in a way that honours traditional methods such as adding the hops by hand. The drink is enjoyed in over 20 countries across the world, and its popularity has been bolstered by the addition of IPA Gold and IPA Reserve to the Greene King family.
